Aladdin Review
I hold Aladdin near and dear to my heart, as it was, and still is one of my favourite films from my childhood. While I don’t think it eclipses the original 1992 released animated film, I think it offers an enjoyable and visually impressive alternative.
Firstly, let’s tackle the Genie in the room.
How is Will Smith?
I actually think Smith is fantastic as the Genie. While nobody can ever replicate the incredible performance of Robin Williams, Smith offers his take on the character and it works!
If you don’t like this incarnation, the original still exists for you to enjoy, but don’t let the idea of Will Smith as the Genie ruining the film enter your mind, because it’s completely false. #BuffLadGenie
The cast is almost flawless, with Mena Massoud sounding INSANELY similar to the original Aladdin and providing a performance full of heart; this man can sing, dance, and act incredibly well. Another standout performance is Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine. Jasmine also has more to do in this incarnation, and it works perfectly.
While the new music in the film isn’t on the same level as the original songs, her singing performance is absolutely grand.
My main gripe with the casting is Marwan Kenzari as Jafar. I consider Jafar to be one of the best Disney movie villains ever, an iconic character with an intimidating voice and presence. Kenzari is simply not that. His performance isn’t horrible, but while Smith gave a fantastic alternative, Kenzari’s villainous performance misses the mark in my opinion.
I must give a massive shout out to the costumes, dance choreography and the visual design of Agrabah. Everything is breathtaking, the costumes look absolutely incredible, the dance numbers are exciting, and the design of the world looks EXACTLY how I pictured it in the real world growing up.
Overall, Aladdin doesn’t nail every aspect, but it’s a damn enjoyable ride. Do yourself a favour and take this magic carpet ride, you won’t regret it.

We did it! We reached the weekend!
I've been wanting the Ratchet Pixel Pal for ages, but could never find it in store.
Fortunately, @crankyeagle informed me @bigwaustralia finally had them in stock, so I ran out and got one.
I purchased this about a month ago, but I wanted to do something different to finally showcase it.
I'll find any excuse to show some love for Ratchet & Clank😊
What do you think of this background? I thought it would fit the theme of the photo, but what do you think in comparison to my wooden background?
Also I'm seeing Aladdin tonight, so expect a review either later tonight, or tomorrow.

There's actually a strong Instagram influence on most of my purchases.
Almost EVERYONE has hyped up both Yakuza and Resident Evil 2 Remake.
I've seen @maagby endorse Binding or Isaac, so I thought I'd finally check it out.
I remembered @cassiedakota_ saying a lot of good things about Moonlighter.
And last, but certainly not least @martinsgaming completely sold me on The Long Dark.
I also got these incredibly awesome double-sided PS1 coasters😍

What is your favourite game of 2019 so far?
I thought I'd join in on the #InsideTheSteelbook that @gamerexq created.
I wanted to showcase the gorgeous Devil May Cry 5 steelbook, and I'll use any excuse to post about my current favourite game of 2019😜
It's still early days in 2019, and we will be flooded with quality games later this year.
But as it stands for now, I still declare Devil May Cry 5 my current GOTY.
As some of you know I was extremely excited for Devil May Cry 5, and the fact it not only met my expectations, but exceeded them is insane! Devil May Cry 5 is incredible, and I highly recommend it.

What would be your dream E3 2019 announcement?
Every year, since the dawn of time, I've made the same two E3 predictions.
One is for a Mass Effect Remastered Trilogy (@ea), and the other is a FULL remake of the ONLY TRUE games in the Banjo-Kazooie series.
Honestly, imagine seeing Banjo-Kazooie/Banjo-Tooie receive the same remake treatment as Spyro and Crash😱
I want the game visually made from the ground up, I want to see Banjo's fur flow in the wind, I want to see Gruntilda's warts in 4K😍
I'd honestly lose my mind completely if this was announced😱
The platformer is going through a renaissance, especially the desire for nostalgia.
There is no better time for this to happen.
So come on @xbox, make our lives a little happier, and give us a Banjo-Kazooie/Banjo-Tooie remake.

Have you played The Witcher series?
Which entry in the trilogy was your favourite?
I think it's a day late, but The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt launched four years ago😱; on May 19 2015.
I wanted to join in the anniversary celebrations, and showcase the incredible achievement of The Witcher 3.
As many of you know, I consider The Witcher 3 to be the game of the generation, which is why it takes a worthy spot in my new hashtag series, #MustPlayMondays.
I had too much Witcher merchandise to fit into one photo, but I hope I've been able to showcase this gaming masterpiece well.
I cannot recommend this game enough!
