‘Jotun: Valhalla Edition’ Coming to Consoles This Fall

Jotun, the incredibly stylish action game set in Norse mythology, saw a release last year on the PC, but it has just been announced that it will also be making its way to consoles next month! The version being ported has been titled Jotun: Valhalla Edition and will offer Valhalla Mode, a boss rush option for those players looking for additional challenge, in addition to the core game. What is even more impressive is that players on all current generation consoles will be able to pick up the title, as the game makes its way to the Wii U on September 8, while the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will make it available the next day, September 9. Fear not, PC gamers, as Jotun will upgrade itself on September 9 free of charge, granting anyone who currently owns the title to play the new mode without any additional cost. Jotun: Valhalla Edition is also said to retail at $14.99 USD across all of the platforms.

For those who have never heard of the title or did not read our review of the PC version, we absolutely loved the game, giving it a 9 out of 10. The basic premise is that Thora has died in battle, but rather than finding herself in Valhalla, the final resting place for warriors who find noble and glorious death in battle, she is in a limbo-like state and must prove herself worthy of Valhalla. To do this, she must explore several different worlds and defeat mighty jotun. Within this adventure title, there are also optional collectibles and powerful upgrades to locate, offering players to enjoy the game in their own way, although unless you are looking for a true challenge, finding as many upgrades as possible is certainly recommended.

As previously mentioned, Jotun: Valahalla Edition will release for the Wii U on September 9, 2016 while the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and upgraded PC version will be available for purchase on September 9, 2016.
