Ubisoft Offering ‘Rayman Origins’ For Free on PC

To celebrate Ubisoft’s 30th anniversary, and Gamescom, Ubisoft is giving all Ubisoft Club members a copy of Rayman Origins (2011) for free on PC. Rayman Origins will be free to download for 30 days starting on Wednesday 17 August.

The game is free as a part of Ubisoft’s free game program in which Ubisoft is giving Ubisoft Club members a free game each month until the end of the year. Members can currently download the first Splinter Cell game for free. It is free to sign up to the Ubisoft Club.

Rayman is a 2D platforming franchise created in 1995 by Michel Ancel. Rayman 1 was released on the Atari Jaguar, and Ubisoft says it is the Ubisoft game that has been released on the most platforms. Rayman is unique in that the character does not have any arms or legs, only hands and feet.

Rayman Origins marked a re-fresh for the franchise, making use of Ubisoft’s UbiArt engine to implement hand-drawn art work into levels and character models. A sequel, Rayman Legends, was released in 2013 and is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC.
