Inching closer to the start of July, Microsoft has just announced the games which will be made free of charge for Xbox Live Gold members next month. There are still a few days to claim the free titles from last month in case you have not picked them up yet. As always, two Xbox 360 and two Xbox One games are being temporarily discounted and offered for free to eligible gamers. The Xbox 360 titles will split the month of July, while one of the Xbox One games will be available the entire month as the other only becomes available halfway through July. It should also be noted that every Xbox 360 title offered through the Games With Gold program is backwards compatible by the time it is eligible, meaning that Xbox One owners actually receive all four games on a single console. With this preamble concluded, let’s take a look at July’s free games.
Xbox 360 owners will be able to download the tactical shooter Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (regularly $19.99 USD) from July 1 until July 15, at which point TRON: Evolution (normally $14.99 USD) will replace it and be free until the end of the month.
Available for free during the entire month of July, The Banner Saga 2 (normally $19.99 USD) is the first Games With Gold title for the Xbox One. Tumblestone (regularly $19.99 USD), a brand new title, is actually finding its way into the program merely four days after it releases on multiple platforms.
Now that you know which games will be free to download for Xbox Live Gold members, are there any you’re really looking forward to? Let us know in the comments below!
