We’ve tried PlayStation Virtual Reality!

We are at the dawn of a new generation of gaming. In a time of 3D and 4K TV’s, one series of gear is set to destroy any reason to do anything more than throw a headset on and fire up your gaming console. Virtual Reality is upon us, and Cameron got to take Eve Valkyrie for a spin using the PlayStation VR rig.

In our 20th episode (has it been 20?!), Cam discusses his experience with the PlayStation Virtual Reality Headset at a demo session set up at a local Best Buy. Should we be worried? Did it exceed his expectation?

So what’s in this episode?

1) We read some feedback left from one of our viewers about FFifa and Micro-transactions.

2) We cover a lot of possible benefits and major concerns with the unit.

a) Will VR help disabled individuals travel a world they normally wouldn’t get to venture out in?

b) Will VR turn a young population of gamer’s into Matrix like slaves who refuse to partake in the real world because VR is so much better?

c) Will it make Devon as sick as he got in Canada when he tried VR 17 years ago at the CN Tower?  ARE THE SHARKS REAL?!

Find out this week on Watch. Chat. Play!

Devon McCarty is semi-concerned of finding a game so immersive he never finds his way out. Do you think they’ll implement a “Totem” system like in the movie Inception?  You can hit him up on the Watch. Chat. Play! Facebook page , chat to Devon @DesignatedDevon, or Cameron @Lithoris  but don’t for one second think I don’t want you to drop some sweet love in the comment section below. And note that Analog Addiction doesn’t always reflect the views/humor of the Watch. Chat. Play! staff. No matter how funny they think they are
