Following the protagonist after he takes a break from redacting news stories, viewers of Microsoft’s E3 conference bore witness to just how jarring the discrepancy of the world can be when characters do not take their joy pills in We Happy Few. What was once a pinata that coworkers were bashing, revealed itself to be a rat that had been bludgeoned to death and was now being eaten by the aforementioned coworkers.
At the end of this brief gameplay trailer, it was announced that We Happy Few will be entering the Xbox Preview program on July 26. For those unfamiliar, the preview program is similar to the Early Access system found on Steam and allows players to pay for the game upfront, get access to the early versions of the game as they become updated and improved over time. No release date was given for the final product, but keep checking back for new information as it becomes available.
