Gamers will be pleased to know that Playstation VR finally has a concrete release date and price point. Coming out on October 13, 2016 and at the cost of $399 USD. While Sony has confirmed that the Playstation Neo is in fact in development, they have stated the current iteration of the console is powerful enough to properly project VR images. In addition to this, Sony has informed everyone that there will be no less than 50 games available by the end of the year.
We were given a sneak peak at some of the VR titles making their way to the Playstation headset in one form or another, although it seems as if many of them will simply be specific missions or modes created strictly for the headset. Some franchises producing titles for Playstation VR are the Batman Arkham series, Star Wars Battlefront, Final Fantasy (specifically Final Fantasy XV), and Resident Evil (with the upcoming Resident Evil 7 being fully VR-compatible for PS4 players).
While no firm release dates were given for all of the games, it is a safe bet to assume at least most of the titles shown off will be available by the end of the year. Check back with us as we keep you up to date with the latest information on Sony VR.
