‘Halo 5: Guardians’ Next Free Content Based On ‘Halo: Reach’

Halo 5: Guardians is getting another free content release this month, titled Memories of Reach. As you may have guessed, Memories of Reach is related to 2010’s Halo: Reach, and includes the return of the Infection multiplayer game mode, a new Arena map called Stasis, and new REQ items that include armour sets based on Noble team from Halo: Reach.

343 Industries will be hosting a livestream preview of the Memories of Reach update on Wednesday, May 11 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. PDT at and the Halo Channel app.

Halo 5 Guardians Memories of Reach Stand Together

You can see an infographic of what’s in the Memories of Reach content update below, but here’s a quick run-down:

The Infection multiplayer game mode returns to Halo, with 11 players trying to survive for as long as possible while one players hunts them down. As a player is killed by the infected player, they too become infected and must hunt down the remaining players. The game mode first appeared in the Halo series in Halo: Reach.

The new Arena map, Stasis is a mid-sized map set in an icy environment. “Greedy for knowledge and prestige, researchers and AIs from Lethbridge Industrial pushed the boundaries at a remote research station, but the price of failure always tempered the risks they would take”, reads the post on Xbox Wire.
