‘Mirrors Edge: Catalyst’ Release Date Pushed Back to June 7th

It’s been revealed that Mirror’s Edge Catalyst’s release date has been pushed to from its original date of May 24th to June 7th in North America and June 9th in Europe. Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst follows main protagonist in the series, Faith, as she attempts to overthrow a conglomerate of corporations who rule the city of Glass.

Social Play features have been cited in a blog post, by Design Director Erik Odeldahl of EA, as the reasoning behind the delay. New social features are set to be implemented including, the ability for players to create their own time trials to climb the leader board and connecting with other players. To bring these new features EA is planning to utilise new technology in addition to addressing player feedback from the Closed Beta.
