The latest Gears of War 4 trailer features a familiar face, a new hero and a new breed of enemy.
Developed by The Coalition, Gears of War 4 follows JD Fenix, the son of Marcus Fenix from the original Gears of War trilogy. The latest trailer, known as “Tomorrow”, showcases two different tomorrows, one Marcus has envisioned without war and another, 25 years later as a “new nightmare is reborn” in Gears of War 4.
The “Tomorrow” trailer wouldn’t be Gears of War without a hauntingly emotional track, and this trailer is no different. Accompanying the new trailer is Disturbed’s cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence”, which “brings the franchise back to the dark, mysterious and intense tone of the original classic.”
Gears of War 4 will launch exclusively for Xbox One on October 11. But those who have played the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition can enjoy the upcoming Gears of War 4 multiplayer beta which begins April 18, with early access beta access ending April 24; before “qualifying” Xbox Live Gold members can join the beta until May 1.
