Previously released on the PC, Daydreamer is a single player platforming shoot-em-up title which seems to take a great deal of pride in pitting players against the strangest, most obscure enemies imaginable. Players control Olivia, the last human alive on Earth, as she is freed from a stasis pod and tasked with reaching the Earth’s core. Regrettably, being the last human on the planet does not make this journey easy, as she must fight her way through throngs of eccentric and twisted opponents. The Awakened Edition of Daydreamer will offer updates and additions to the original release version, which is heavily inspired by classic 8-bit titles. To accompany the announcement that consoles will be seeing this game, a trailer was released to the public.
As evidenced by everything witnessed in the trailer, Daydreamer: Awakened Edition seems to be one of the strangest experiences of the year, if not this console generation. Only time will tell what the final product is like, but gamers can expect to see it available on May 31, 2015 for Playstation 4 and June 3, 2015 for Xbox One.
