Io-Interactive, developer of the upcoming Hitman reboot, has revealed that the Hitman Beta will be 4.7 GB on PlayStation 4, with the PC version being around the same size. They noted that this figure was not made as an intentional reference to the game’s protagonist Agent 47.
The news comes in the form of a ‘Hitman Beta FAQ’ post, which also revealed additional information about the Beta such as when it starts. For regions in the Americas, the PlayStation 4 Beta begins at 8:00am PST on February 12th and ends on February 15th at 8:00am PST.
For European regions (including Middle East, Africa and Oceania), the PlayStation 4 Beta starts at 11:00 CET on February 12th (9:00pm February 12th AEST) and concludes on February 15th at 11:00 CET.
Meanwhile, the PC Beta starts at 11:00am CET on February 19th 2016 and ends on February 22nd at 11:00 CET worldwide.
A new trailer for the Hitman Beta was also released today, which you can view below.
Io-Interactive reiterated that Beta codes can only be obtained by pre-ordering the Full Experience, Intro Pack or Collector’s Edition versions of Hitman.
The “prologue” level that players play in the Beta will be the same “prologue” level that accompanies the Paris level when the Hitman Intro Pack launches on March 11th, on PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One. An Internet connection will be required to download and play the Beta, but PlayStation 4 players will not need a PlayStation Plus Membership to play the Beta – the only exception being Germany “due to age-rating regulations”.
