In a media release today, developer Spike Chunsoft announced that Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc will be available on Steam in February, with more of its games to follow shortly.
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc will feature Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud saves, with plans for Steam Trading Cards. It will have full English and Japanese audio tracks, and English subtitles.
While it is unclear how much the game will cost on Steam, early purchasers will receive a bonus 16-track original soundtrack.
This will be the first time a Danganronpa game is released on Steam, and on anything other than a PlayStation Vita in the west. The game was originally released on PSP in Japan in 2010 and in 2014 made its way to the PlayStation Vita in the west.
One could assume that, should the game sell well, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair will soon be available on Steam too.
Late last year Danganronpa 3 was announced for PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4.
Analog Addiction very much enjoyed our time with Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc in 2014 when we reviewed the PlayStation Vita version.
