Halo 5 Multiplayer Playlist Updates Hitting Tomorrow

343 Industries will be making updates to Halo 5: Guardians‘ multiplayer playlists tomorrow morning, November 6 (US). In a blog post on Halowaypoint, 343 Industries announced that through community voting, a new Shotty Snipers playlist will be available for the weekend, from tomorrow morning pacific time, running through early Monday morning pacific time. The playlist will offer increase experience point rewards, and be available on all Arena maps.

The map Orion is being temporarily removed from all playlists so that the team can “remove and patch map exploits as well as make additional improvements to the map before re-adding it where appropriate”. Multiplayer spawns are also being looked at on all maps.

Finally, other playlists are also receiving new maps which were previously unplayable in certain gametypes.

Here is a run down of the new additions to each playlist and gametype.

Team Arena: Strongholds on Plaza, Capture the Flag on Empire, Slayer on Regret, and Breakout on Altitude are being added.

Slayer: Truth, Empire, Fathom and Pegasus are being added, increasing the map count to eight.

Swat: Empire, Fathom, Coliseum and Truth are being added, increasing the map count to nine.

Free For All: Empire, Fathom, Coliseum and Truth are being added, making the map count nine also.

Editors note: It’s good that 343 Industries added maps to the playlists, but it still puzzles me why they were left out of the rotations in the first place. Players who stick with the one playlist now have access to more maps, some of which they may be encountering for the first time.
