Microsoft Showcases New Xbox One Home Screen

On November 12, the Xbox One will receive a new update which brings in the “New Xbox One Experience”. The update introduces many new features, two notable ones being the Backwards Compatibility program with Xbox 360, and a new Xbox One Home screen.

Ten days out from the launch of the update, Microsoft has released a video showcasing the new Xbox One Home screen. The new Home screen will be powered by Windows 10 which, according to Microsoft, makes actions up to 50 percent faster. Here are Xbox’s Larry Hyrb and Richard Irving demonstrating the new Home screen.

Also making a return with the new Home screen is the guide, which Xbox 360 users will be familiar with. Double tapping the Xbox Home button on the controller will bring up the guide on the left of the screen, allowing gamers to quickly access tools such as the friends list, achievements, party chat, messages and snapped apps. Here’s the new guide in action.
