Purchase ‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ on PC & Receive Other Arkham Games For Free

Batman: Arkham Knight is now available on Steam again, and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is doing its best to reward players. In a forum post, WBIE announced that players who have already purchased Arkham Knight, or purchase it before November 16 will receive all of the games in the Batman: Arkham library for free.

That’s Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition, Arkham Knight Game of the Year Edition, Arkham Origins and Arkham Origins Blackgate. No date has been specified for the games to appear in your Steam library, but WBIE says they are working with Valve to aim for a December target.

Further, WBIE has announced that developer Rocksteady will be creating a new “Community Challenge Pack” for PC and console owners of the game, for free. PC players will receive the pack a week early when it releases in January 2016.

Finally, until November 16, Valve will be running a special contest through Team Fortress 2 to create Batman: Arkham cosmetic items for Team Fortress 2. The winning items will be given to all owners of Batman: Arkham Knight who have purchased the game before November 16.

  1. Whilst I don’t want to look a gift horse in the mouth, I can’t help but feel this is the ultimate empty ‘Sorry’. Chances are most of the people buying Arkham Knight already have the other games in some form or another; giving them free copies is an empty gesture.

How about making the game playable from the get-go, or maybe throwing in a year of that ‘totally gotta buy’ DLC they’re so eager to push on everyone?

    • I tend to agree with you there. I own all of the Arkham games on console, and I’d be pretty annoyed if they said “hey, the game you bought is fixed now, here’s free games you probably already own seeing as you’re playing Arkham Knight.”

It seems a bit inconsiderate that they are ramming home the point that now players can buy all of the DLC too.
