First Look At ‘Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’ Multiplayer Mode

Naughty Dog and Sony have released a trailer for the multiplayer mode in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End at PlayStation’s Paris Games Week press conference earlier today. Polygon reports that two major gameplay features will be added to multiplayer: sidekicks and supernatural “mystical” power-ups.

Players will be able to hire sidekicks that “fight alongside you and they’ll provide support by tracking your enemies, reviving fallen allies or unleashing heavy offensive firepower,” Sony says.

Further, mystical artifacts, “inspired by Drake’s previous adventures”, will grant players special powers. As you can see from the trailer, artifacts look quite helpful and destructive.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will have a multiplayer beta from December 4-13. Access is gained by purchasing Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. Whether you plan to play the beta or not, our review recommends you pick up the collection anyway.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be available on March 18, 2016, exclusively for PlayStation 4.
