Dirty Bomb, a free-to-play shooter currently in Open Beta, is receiving its “biggest update yet” with the Containment War update. The update releases on Wednesday, October 28, and features a new mercenary, a new game mode with new maps, and a new map for the pre-existing game types.
The new Mercenary is Stoker, who’s special abilities are Molotov grenades and a deployable ammo station.
The new game type is Execution Mode, a single-life mode that sees players battling it out over twelve rounds with victory achieved by eliminating the enemy team, or planting a bomb at a specified location. This game mode will be played on new maps called Overground and Market.
For the pre-existing game types, a new map called Dome will be available.
Along with the update come new character and weapon skins. Event cards will be available for the 30 days following the update’s release, and will be obtainable through Containment War Equipment Cases and Elite cases.
Finally, anyone who plays Dirty Bomb between October 28 and November 4 will permanently unlock the recently released Mercenary, Phoenix, for free.
Dirty Bomb is developed by Splash Damage, and published by Nexon America. It is currently available on PC through Steam.
