Hearts of Stone, the first paid DLC expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will launch October 13.
Hearts of Stone will offer players over 10 hours of new adventures, introducing new characters, powerful monsters, unique romance options, and a new storyline shaped by player choice. The new story will task Geralt with defeating a bandit captain named, Olgierd von Everec, a man who possesses the power of immortality.
The expansion will also bring a new system of Runewords, that will “significantly affect gameplay”. Each Runeword will impact a different aspect of in-game mechanics, allowing players to experiment with different varieties.
Alongside the digital release of Hearts of Stone, a special limited edition boxed version will also be available at select retailers worldwide. The physical version will contain a digital download code for Hearts of Stone, alongside two physical decks of Gwent cards, and a detail manual explaining the rules.
