Turtle Beach Announces Star Wars-Themed Sandtrooper Gaming Headset

Turtle Beach has announced the Star Wars-themed Sandtrooper gaming headset, for the upcoming release of Star Wars Battlefront.

The standard version of the Sandtrooper will be released exclusively through EB Games in Australia, the UK and other international territories. While an exclusive, limited edition Sandtrooper gaming headset will be offer through Best Buy in the US. Each version will be individually numbered, and also include an extra set of swappable Star Wars speaker plates.

The Sandtrooper has been themed after the squad of Stormtroopers who are deployed to the desert planet of Tatooine in search of Luke Skywalker from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. The headset features an over-ear design for extended comfort, removable boom mic, and 50mm speakers.

Both versions of the Sandtrooper are scheduled to release this spring, to coincide with the release of Star War Battlefront on November 19 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Pax Prime attendees will be able to secure and up close and personal view at the Sandtrooper at the Turtle Beach Booth this weekend, August 28 – 31.

The Sandtrooper headset will work with PlayStation, Xbox One, PC and mobile/tablet devices. The standard version of the Sandtrooper will cost 69.99 GBP in the UK, $169.95 in Australia, and 99.99 EUR in select European countries; though these prices may vary. The limited edition Sandtrooper headset will retail at $99.95 USD.
