Up until now, very little has been known about the title Scalebound. The game was originally shown at E3 in 2014 but there has been virtual radio silence since then, at least until Gamescom this year. During the Microsoft conference, some details were made public in addition to a gameplay trailer giving gamers a better idea of what to expect from the title.
Scalebound follows a young man named Drew and his dragon Thuban, who fight together through the world of Draconis to stop an evil empire. While combat finds you controlling Drew, the combat system allows you to command Thuban, working in tandem to cause enormous amounts of damage to hulking enemies or take our strategic targets while fending off hordes of smaller foes. The gameplay trailer below shows Drew and Thuban fighting their way through an enemy camp followed by going toe-to-toe with a much larger and more fearsome enemy. Near the end of the clip, the developers have even teased a much bigger fight for gamers to anticipate.
Scalebound does not have a concrete release date, but will be available exclusively on the Xbox One for the “Holiday 2016” release window.
