First ‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ Add-on Story Content Features Batgirl

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have announced that the first story focused add-on for Batman: Arkham Knight will be called Batgirl: A Matter of Family.

The story add-on takes place before the events of the first Arkham game, Batman: Arkham Asylum. For the first time in the franchise, Batgirl – presumably with Barbara Gordon behind the cowl – will be a playable character.

The content, developed by WB Games Montreal (the team behind Arkham Origins), features a new location with multiple missions, side quests and secrets. Robin will make an appearance with Dual Play functionality, and a new hacking feature will be used to progress through the world and solve puzzles.

Batgirl: A Matter of Family will be available from July 15 for Season Pass holders, or purchased separately from July 22 for $6.99 in North America, £5.80 in the UK or $9.95 in Australia on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Due to the recent PC bugs, it appears the release will be held back with no mention of it in the press release.
