Bandai Namco Games and NIS America have announced Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls will release in North America on September 1, Australia and New Zealand on September 3 and in Europe on September 4, exclusively for PlayStation Vita.
Alongside the release date announcement, a new trailer and a new selection of screenshots have also been released. Within the new trailer we get to see both lead characters, Komaru Naegi and Toko Fukawa, make their way through Towa City as they try to escape the hundreds of Monokumas that have invested the city.
Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls bridges the gap between the original Danganronpa:Trigger Happy Havoc, and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. Fans of the original Danganronpa release will also recognise Toko Fukawa aka Jenocide Jill, while Komaru Naegi is the little sister of the original main character, Makoto Naegi.
Unlike previous entries in the Danganronpa series, Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls is an action adventure game. Komaru Naegi will be equipped with a hacking gun that can shoot Truth Bullets to defeat Monokumas and manipulate puzzles. While Toko will have her own stun gun which can be used to activate her psychotic alter ego, using her near invincible strength to tear Monokumas to shreds.
