CouchWarriors, an Australian not for profit event organiser for the fighting game community, will be hosting Battle Arena Melbourne 7 (BAM7) on May 22-24, at CQ Functions, 123 Queen Street, in Melbourne.
BAM7 is the biggest Australian competitive fighting game event of the year, with over 500 attendees expected to attend the event, and with already more registered fighters than its previous year. The event features tournaments throughout a selection of popular competitive fighting titles, such as Mortal Kombat X, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Super Smash Bros., Dead or Alive 5: Last Round and many more.
This year a plethora of internationally renowned pro players will be in attendance, including two time Mortal Kombat World Champion, Perfect Legend. The event will also host a qualifier for the Mortal Kombat Asia Championships, feature 9 International Smash professional players, and over $20,000 of cash and prizes to be won.
Those who want to showcase their Cosplay expertise can also join in the fun, with a Cosplay Competition (fighting game themed) taking place. The winner will receive a $500 Professional Studio booking to showcase their Cosplaying talents.
