New development studio, Prologue Games, has announced an original episodic adventure game called Knee Deep.
Knee Deep has been inspired by the drama of live theater. The screen itself is a stage where the adventure will unfold, characters are transported among different scenes, set pieces moved into place, and time will be displaced as players work to solve the mystery.
Knee Deep will follow the story of three playable characters investigating an actor’s unlikely suicide in the backwater town of Cypress Knee, Florida. Each of the three characters will have a distinct personality, and include a blogger named Romana Teague, a local news reporter named Jack Bellet, and a private investigator named K.C. Gaddis.
“We think it brings something fresh to the genre and would love to share our vision for narrative gaming with you,” Prologue Games stated in a press release to Analog Addiction.
Knee Deep, Act 1: Wonderland will be available for PC, Mac and Linux “this summer” and will take place of three different episodes. For more on Knee Deep check out the official website.
