Activision has announced Call of Duty: Ghosts players on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC will receive the latest DLC Pack – Invasion – on July 3. The new DLC pack offers four new multiplayer maps, each with a unique field order, plus the third chapter in the Extinction storyline – Awakening.
The four multiplayer maps included in the Invasion DLC have been detailed below.
- Departed, set in a Mexican town during the Day of the Dead celebrations, which includes the Death Mariachi killstreak Field Order. Players are armed with dual-wielding pistols, with each kill they produce turning their enemies into another member of the band and temporary squad mate.
- Pharaoh, set in an archeological site of an ancient Egyptian palace players must deal with collapsing monuments and enemy scarabs, among other things. Players who unlock the Field Order here will be rewarded by Anubis, the half jackal/half human protector of the dead.
- Mutiny, taking place on a remote Caribbean island with a pirate hideout with trading posts and prison cells. Players who unlock the Field Order on Mutiny will be escorted by two ghost pirates, who will help send their enemies to their graves.
- Favela, is a refreshed version of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 map set in a Brazilian shantytown. Originally under construction these buildings have now either been completed or crumbled into a state of disrepair; snipers will also find many long sightlines in this map. Players who unlock this maps Field Order will be able to call in the air support of a Y-8 Gunship.
Rounding out the Invasion DLC Pack will be the third installment in the Extinction episodic narrative, Awakening. In the new episode players descend into an alien underworld to attack the fortress of the Ancestors, who are the mysterious puppet-masters behind the Cryptid invasion. Players will also gain access to a range of new hi-tech weaponry and equipment.
Call of Duty: Ghosts – Invasion DLC Pack is already available for Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
