E3 2014 – ‘Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor’ Nemsis System Gameplay, Screenshots

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Monolith Productions have released a new trailer for Shadow of Mordor, which focuses on the Nemesis System and how it will make each playthrough unique; alongside the new gameplay footage a handful of new screenshots have also been released.

The ‘Nemesis System: Power Struggles’ trailer showcases the amount of depth the system brings to each playthrough of Shadow of Mordor. The Nemesis System allows players to see the statistics, appearance and personality of each nemesis, which will alter for each player. Within each playthrough these nemesis will be generated unique, creating dynamic enemies.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor allows players to play as Talion, a ranger who loses his entire family, only to be returned from death by a mysterious Spirit of vengeance. Players can use Talion’s wraith abilities to control enemies, allowing them to infiltrate their own clan and taking down their reign from the inside.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor will release October 8 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.

  1. This Nemesis system is easily the best thing revealed about the game so far. If carried out properly, it could make the gameplay really stand out amongst the slew of another action RPGs out there. I’m really rooting for this one to make it.
