Upcoming horror game Daylight has been delayed, developer Zombie Studios has announced. Why? “To make it scarier,” the studio says.
“Let’s not mince words,” a representative said when announcing the delay. “First news you need to know about Daylight is that we had to delay the release date by several weeks.“
Daylight was originally planned for an April 9th release date. The good news is the revised release date isn’t far away, as the game will be launching on the PlayStation 4 and PC on April 29th. You can check out its newest video above, and its newest screenshot gallery below.
“Here’s the thing –” the developer further explained, “the way Daylight is developed is completely different because of its procedural generation. In a lot of ways it really helped the team by streamlining the environment creation, but it’s taken extra time to make sure all the scare cues are properly implemented for maximum player effect. Tl;dr: we’re fine tuning Daylight to make it scarier.“
