Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Patch 2.2 Previewed in Upcoming Stream

Square Enix has announced the twelfth installment of the ‘Letter from the Producer Live’ series, which will feature producer/director Naoki Yoshida and other members of the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn development team.

The new edition will be streamed on Saturday,  January 25 from 12:00 PM GMT (January 25 11pm AEDT / January 26 1 am NZDT). The new installment will be the first of two-part special which will offer fans a speak peek at the content included in Patch 2.2, which will include the following:

  • The Coming of Leviathan – The next primal that adventurers will face off against.

  • A glimpse of the Ruins of Amdapor – Where players will delve deeper into the mysteries of this lost civilization.

  • The Binding Coil of Bahamut – Check out what new twists and turns await.

Alongside the sneak peek at Patch 2.2, the live stream will also feature community questions with Yoshida, plus an appearance by Assistant Director Hiroshi Takai, who will speak regarding the game’s design. More information will also be given regarding the PlayStation 4 version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and there will be other miscellaneous news for fans during the event.

The stream will be available on YouTube Live, Niconico Live and Twitch. Fans can also submit questions for the event here.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is available now for PlayStation 3 and PC, before it releases for PlayStation 4 in April, 2014.
