‘Blast ‘Em Bunnies’ Coming to PS4, Vita & 3DS in 2014

Nnooo has announced a brand new title called Blast ‘Em Bunnies, which will release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS in 2014.

Blast ‘Em Bunnies will have players defending against a horde of evil bunnies, utilising an array of crazy fruit-flavoured weapons; such as the carrot rifle, watermelon pip machine gun and runner bean rail gun.

Blast ‘Em Bunnies is a pick-up-and-play endless shooter…with bunnies,” said Nic Watt, Creative Director of Nnooo.

“You have to keep your bunny alive as long as you can. The longer you play, the more difficult survival becomes. But it’s not just your own bunny’s mortality you’re concerned with. You also need to deal with the throat slitter who is holding your baby bunnies hostage. He’ll pop up every now and again with one of your little ‘uns. Kill him quickly and the baby bunny escapes. If you’re not quick enough…well, I really don’t want to talk about it.”

The evil bunnies that attack your position will come in many different shapes and sizes, some even with the ability to fly, putting players skills of survival to the test.

During waves of enemies players will collect in-game coins to purchase special ammo such as heat seeking chilli seeds, exploding raspberries and bouncing pumpkin bombs. Shooting crates will also activate power-ups and ammo types, as players wait to take down the elusive golden bunny for a abundance of cash.

“This game has a very different art style from any other game we’ve made,” said Watt. “We wanted to give it a cartoon feel that would make great use of the power of PlayStation 4.”

Blast ‘Em Bunnies will be unveiled at this weekend’s EB Expo in Sydney, allowing Nnooo to debut their latest title in their home city. Blast ‘Em Bunnies will be playable on PlayStation 4 at the PlayStation booth, and at Nnooo’s boost in the Homegrown Gaming area.

Blast ‘Em Bunnies is expected to release as a downloadable title on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS in the United States, Europe, Australia and New Zealand in 2014.
