Nintendo To Publish Sonic Games

SEGA and Nintendo have formed an exclusive partnership which will give Nintendo the rights to publish three Sonic The Hedgehog games.

Sonic: Lost World, Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games and a title which has yet to be announced are the three games which will release exclusively on Nintendo hardware. Speaking on the newly struck deal between the two companies, COO of SEGA Europe said “Sonic the Hedgehog has performed incredibly well on Nintendo platforms and this exclusive partnership is a natural fit for the next evolution of Sonic games.”

“The Wii U and Nintendo 3DS are ideal platforms to showcase Sonic and we are looking forward to working with Nintendo on these three adventures.”

Returning the opptimism from SEGA, Managing Director of European Marketing and PR at Nintendo of Europe, Laurent Fisher added “We’re delighted to be forming this new partnership with SEGA, and bringing new games in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise to Nintendo systems. We hope fans are as excited as we are when more details will be shown closer to E3.”

Sonic: Lost World was mistakenly revealed this week. Now the game has a firm confirmation, players can expect to see more on the game in the weeks leading up to E3.
