Hitman: Sniper Challenge and Gyromancer now Free to Play

Square Enix has announced that Hitman: Sniper Challenge and Gyromancer have now become free to play titles, being available through the publisher’s online platform, Core®Online.

Hitman: Sniper Challenge’s description reads as follows:

“Play as Agent 47 and eliminate enemies with your Agency sniper rifle to accumulate points. Be meticulous and smart; use environmental kills to score higher points. Become the ultimate assassin and challenge friends to beat your high scores on Facebook.”

Previously, the game was only available by pre-ordering Hitman: Absolution.

As for Gyromancer…

“Play as Rivel, a summoner who leads dozens of beasts into battle as he ventures through Aldemona Wood. Experience the thrilling and innovative puzzle battles while exploring and solving the mysteries of each stage to earn hidden rewards. With a blend of puzzle elements from Bejeweled Twist and the RPG mastery of Square Enix, Gyromancer defines the puzzle-RPG genre.”


If you’re unfamiliar with the platform, then listen up! Core®Online is an online platform owned by Square Enix. It features six high quality games for you to play, directly in your browser. No downloads required, just a small, quick installation of the secure launcher. You can also save your progress online. There are three ways to play and pay:

  • Play for free for 20 minutes per day, with advertisements included.
  • Purchase a subscription for $2.99 per month to get unlimited access to all games without advertising.
  • Buy the games, advertisement free, for permanent access.
