Report – Ubisoft Fires Another Key Assassin’s Creed Staff Member

Another Assassin’s Creed founding member, Jean-Francois Boivin, has been fired according to Patrice Desilets who was reportedly fired yesterday.

The news comes via a Tweet from Desilets making the claim. However, Boivin himself hasn’t accessed his Twitter account in over a year making corroboration with the claims hard to find.

According to Boivin’s LinkenIn profile, he started work at Ubiosft in 2005 as a project manager for Star Wars Lethal Alliance before starting work on Assassin’s Creed as a production manager in 2006. Following this he started work as an associate producer on Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood before leaving for THQ Montreal in 2010.

As THQ Montreal closed and the studio was bought by Ubisoft, both Boivin and Desilets wound up back at their old employer  According to yesterday’s reports, Desilets was fired after goodwill discussions turned sour. Ubisoft however, maintain Desilets walked out.
