Is this Just Cause 3?

Avalanche Studios founder and concept creator Christofer Sunberg has Tweeted an interesting image that could indeed be the first tease to what Avalanche are working on.

Just Cause 3

If you played Just Cause 2 you’d probably recognise this character here resembling the series protagonist Rico Rodriguez and his particular character model when skydiving, a distinctive and core mechanic of the series. On his left arm appears to the grappling hook that allows him to hitch to any surface.

In the reply section to Sundbergs Tweet, he references the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo this year by saying “#e32013”. He also hash tagged that Avalanche will be “#goingfortheknockout.” Avalanche are also currently on the list of third party developers for the PlayStation 4.

Avalanche have been pretty quiet bar one or two peeps since the release of their 2010 game, Just Cause 2. Late last year, they pretty much confirmed that they were now a next-gen developer after they sent all of their Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 developer kits back. Earlier in 2012 they had registered the domain name “justcause4” which seemed to confuse and tease all at the same time.

    • Same here. The freedom in these games is astonishing! Just Cause 2 had everything (expect for a good story): HUGE world, fun gameplay, lots and lots and lots of things to do, and superb graphics. Looking forward to it!
