‘Gears of War: Judgment’ is Getting a Multiplayer Season Pass

If you plan on playing Gear of War: Judgment’s multiplayer extensively, you are in luck.

Judgment is set to receive the VIP Season Pass, giving those who plan on buying the DLC for the game a chance to purchase it at a discounted price. The season pass will become available with the game’s launch, setting you back 1600 Microsoft Points (or $20).

In addition to discounted content, the season pass is throwing in extra goodies. Here is a list of what the VIP Season Pass gives you:

  • Two packs including six multiplayer maps, two new modes and new weapon and armor skins
  • Early access to multiplayer maps
  • A permanent double XP boost
  • Five weapon skins with four armor skins exclusively available with the purchase of the season pass

After the game launches, MAXIM, Microsoft and Epic games have partnered to deliver two free maps (Haven and Capitol) alongside Execution mode.

  1. I actually like Season Passes, at least the general idea of it. Going into Borderlands 2 I knew I would love the game, so the idea I can save a few bucks was a no brainer. Still, I admit that it’s smarter to not buy the Season Pass just like it’s better to avoid preorders in most cases.


    • I agree with everything you said. This is a perfect example of how Season Passes are now getting abused. I think getting a permanent double XP bonus is honestly ridiculous and it’s obvious they’re using that as a way to get even more money. Obviously devs and publishers have to make money, but this feels more greedy than anything to be honest.
