‘Alan Wake’ Developer Hiring For Next-Gen Title

Earlier this year, we reported that Remedy Entertainment, the developer behind the successful psychological thriller, ‘Alan Wake’, was teasing something big for 2013, saying – “Even greater Remedy news to come in 2013…”. Now, more details arise about those particular news.

It seems that the guys over at Remedy are reportedly looking for new developers to work on two unannounced titles, one for iOS, and one for the next-generation of consoles.

The job listings are as follows:

  • Senior Gameplay Animator
  • Character Technical Artist
  • QA Manager
  • Technical Artist (iOS)
  • Backend Programmer (iOS)
  • Senior Tools Programmer
  • Lead Tools Programmer
  • Graphics Programmer
  • Junior Animation Programmer
  • Animation Programmer

The developer stated:

We are continuously expanding and are looking for talented folks to join both our Digital and AAA teams. If you have a passion for mobile and tablet game development or AAA is more your thing, apply for either our unannounced iOS project or our unannounced AAA project for future generation consoles

Our take: The AAA title can easily refer to the sequel to Remedy’s best game yet, ‘Alan Wake’, especially considering how the first one ended. Now, that “for future generation consoles” part might mean that ‘Alan Wake 2’ might not necessarily be an Xbox exclusive, like the first title was, simply because Remedy itself published ‘Alan Wake’ and its spin-off ‘Alan Wake: American Nightmare’ to PC, albeit, a little later. As for the iOS project… could it be some kind of link between the two games?

For more psychological nightmares, keep it locked to Analog Addiction!
