Ryu Hayabusa Coming To Vita Once Again In February

Have you been waiting to play more Ninja Gaiden games on your PlayStation Vita? If the answer is yes, then you’re in luck!

Tecmo Koei announced the release date for Ryu’s latest adventure on the portable side. It is entitled Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus, and will be coming in February 26, 2013 in North America, and March 1, 2013 in Europe.

The game was announced back at TGS this year, and it’s a Vita version of 2009’s Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 on the PS3, which is itself a port of 2008’s Ninja Gaiden II for the Xbox 360.

According to their official site, the Vita version will include a new Heroes mode, which can be activated at any time using the rear touch pad and allows “new and casual players to use powerful and exhilarating attacks and advance through the game.” New “Tag Missions” have also been added, letting players switch between Ryu and Ayane, Rachel or Momiji at any time, defending their AI partner and using “the character best suited to each situation for a more exciting action game experience.”

The first Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus was released as a launch title for the PlayStation Vita, and received mostly positive scores.

Vlad Pintea has decided that even if he’s a PC-only gamer, seeing as he can’t bring out the whole computer out of his pocket when not at home, he decided that he will buy a PS Vita in the near future, and this series will definitely be on his to-buy list as well. Until then, you can contact him via e-mail at or, on Skype, My IGN, Steam (all at the same name: vlad94pintea) or Facebook (Vlad Pintea). Have a good day and remember! Stay calm and keep on gaming!
