First PlayStation Allstars DLC Characters Revealed.

The first PlayStation Allstars DLC characters have been revealed in a PlayStation Blog post by Seth Killian.

Last week, Analog Addiction reported that PlayStation Allstars would be getting a slew of DLC characters and stages for the game. The first two characters revealed are Gravity Rush’s Kat and Starhawk’s Emmet Graves.

Kat’s play style will revolve around using her gravity based powers and Emmet’s mean he will be able to use his “build in battle” system during combat. “Kat’s approach turns gravity on its head with some mind-bending new ways to move as she positions herself for her unique brand of aerial assault. Together, they make up one of the most original duos in All-Stars.” said Killian in his post.

Since these characters aren’t just mere skins and have unique ways in which they play, the duo won’t be available for download until “early next year”. However, when they are released, they’ll be free for the first two weeks after they’re released. After that, you’ll have to pay for them but details as to how much they’ll cost.

More DLC news is reportedly on the way so as soon as more details are released, Analog Addiction will keep you posted.

  1. The fact that companies are announcing DLC before the game’s release suggests a few things. The most notable thing is that they expect to make extra money off customers because of these ‘extra’ characters. Here’s my thing: if they have the cojones to announce the characters before the game is even out… why not include them in the game?

In the case Street Fighter X Tekken, Capcom included their DLC characters on the disc. Not a download. The content was already on the disc, and customers had to pay $20 to unlock them. To avoid further irritation over DLC, I will stop their, but you get what I’m saying!

    • Well, I can’t see them having these characters existing on the disc already as DLC for Allstars is a no brainer, it was evident from the start that this game would get DLC. DLC is made for this kind of game. They’re also free for two weeks so I can’t think why you wouldn’t download them in that two week period.

They’ll probably release two characters per DLC and charge $5 for it and thats fine with me. There’s already a pretty damned good character roster so I’d still be content without any DLC.
