Assassin’s Creed III Benedict Arnold Trailer

The PlayStation 3 version of Assassin’s Creed 3 is getting exclusive DLC packs. The first of which is the Benedict Arnold pack. A story based DLC that revolves around one of the most famous traitors in American history if not the worlds. An article on the PlayStation Blog lets loose.

The story starts with George Washington telling Connor of a scheme that could cause a severe blow to the American Revolution, a British spy has infiltrated West Point, a key fort in the state of New York and requests that Connor expose the infiltration before it’s too late. Set over a span of four missions,”Connor will flush out Loyalist spies and work undercover for Benedict Arnold, culminating in a full-blown assault on West Point that Connor must halt at all costs.”.

The script writer for Assassin’s Creed 3 has assured players that this will be far more realistic and in tune to Ubisoft’s method of introducing their own story into history rather than having an all out alternate storyline like The Tyranny of King Washington. The DLC will feature actual dialogue spoken by Benedict Arnold and others around at the time. “It’s definitely not like King Washington. We have some scenes that have the actual words spoken by key players in the events at West Point, according to the records from the court proceedings following what happened. On the other side of things, we needed to inject it with some gameplay so there are some liberties in terms of the action. But who was there, what they did, and what happened to them is as precise as the history books would allow.”

“Our interpretation of Arnold actually weaves into the overall fiction and to divulge that would be to spoil a portion of the story. That being said, we don’t like having “bad guys” in Assassin’s Creed and this is no different in terms to Arnold and these missions. He has his reasons, and from a certain perspective they make complete sense.”

  1. Yes, let’s leave an important part of the story to only one console. That’s totally fine. If it were a timed exclusive I wouldn’t have minded but seeing as “The Copernicus Conspiracy” never went to the 360 or PC I guess the other fans will never get to play it.
