Playstation 3 Bundle With Playstation Vita A Possibility

Crossbuy is something that Sony has been pushing lately and it’s next crossbuy game is one of Sony’s biggest, Playstation Allstars Battle Royale. Sony executive Fergal Gara said that pairing the Playstation 3 and the Playstation Vita together made perfect sense in an interview with CVG today. But we really know he got the idea from IGN’s Colin Moriarty when he suggested the idea on Podcast Beyond a few months back (Am I right? Huh? Huh?).

“We put together packages for retail, and there’s no reason why we shouldn’t create a ‘Vita plus PS3’ bundle, which could feature games that use cross-play, as well as include a PlayStation Plus subscription that both devices could use.” The direction Sony is heading in to make its products have a closer relation would certainly be complemented by this for sure. We already know that the Vita can function in a similar fashion to the Wii U’s gamepad so this bundle would be a great to support that. Building a closer relationship with the two consoles may be a smart move but for now it’s simply speculation as to whether Sony’ll do it.

What do you think of this news? Would you buy it? Perhaps pricing it at $499 would tempt you maybe? Let us know in the comments below.
