Forza Horizon Launch Trailer

The launch trailer for Forza Horizon is now online and available for your viewing pleasure. The trailer itself is 2 minutes long. It’s filled with beautiful scenery, some well choreographed driving, and a ton of actual in-game footage. For those of you interested in this Xbox 360 exclusive, take a gander below.

The “Horizon Festival” you see in the trailer is incredibly similar to the Electric Daisy Carnival (although the EDC has much less racing and a lot less imported vehicles) which would also explain the music playing in the background of the trailer. If this is the kind of soundtrack we can expect to hear in the game, I’m incredibly excited given that I’m a huge fan of electronic and dance music, but those of you who don’t like the genre are likely less than enthused about it. Hopefully this game borrows a little more than just some similar scenery from Need For Speed Hot Pursuit and also mixes up the soundtrack a fair amount to include some music to accommodate every player (except for you, country fans; there will be no Dueling Banjos here).

As you may have noticed at the end of the trailer, the demo hits Xbox Live on October 9th and playing it will give you access to an exclusive car when you pick up the actual game. While it’s safe to assume it’s not going to be the best car in the game, it’s always nice to be rewarded for playing the demo. Forza Horizon hits shelves everywhere on October 23rd. While it comes out a mere week before Criterion’s Need For Speed Most Wanted, if you’re a racing fan you’ll definitely want to pick both of them up if they’re as promising as they appear.
